The metaphysical fiction, We Came Here to Play, resonates with those people who are ready to enter 5D, the hallmark of which is living from a place of full presence, flow, oneness, creativity and play.
From a 3D perspective the book may be seen as utopian and boring, because it offers little in the way of conflict, resolution and good triumphing over evil. It is more about discovery, transparency, deepening and interconnected wholeness.
Many spiritual teachers speak of a stumbling block to awakening being that this "merged state" is perceived as boring, "empty" and with "no one" to perceive or enjoy it. The fullness of that state cannot be conceived of by someone who is identified with the separate self and who is conditioned to defend or promote it. Spiritual teacher, Matt Kahn, refers to the ego as nothing more than an over-stimulated nervous system.
Certainly the culmination of 3D has our nervous system in perpetual "on" for "fight or flight," so possibilities beyond that don't seem realistic or interesting.
The main point I want to make it is that We Came Here to Play is actually more fact than fiction in that most of what is referred to in the book already exists, at least in prototype. As one of the members of the future community in the book states, it was more a matter of a shift from head to heart that made this reality possible. It's about waking up to, or evolving into, who we came here to be----the Divine awake to its own beauty and experiencing the fullness of that in physical form.

I encourage you to have your sleuth cap on when engaging with the story and you will discover other references to things that are factual. The point being, this possibility is not that far away. We have already seen from Covid-19 that sweeping changes can be made when necessary. That's Jean Houston so aptly captured in her book title, Jump Time, the opportunity is here now.
See you on the other side!!

Excerpt from Dawn's website re We Came Here to Play:
"It is my vision to draw together those ready to step into this fuller potential and this site describes some of the key components...I travel to communities who want to begin to play with what they have now and to organically move toward the fullness of what they can become. Each community's offerings will be unique to the gifts of the people comprising it."
